(CEFR)
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a standardized system used to describe and assess language proficiency. It provides a clear framework for understanding language abilities across different languages and cultures. The CEFR divides language proficiency into six levels:

-
A1 (Beginner): Basic ability to communicate and exchange information in a simple way.
-
A2 (Elementary): Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
-
B1 (Intermediate): Can deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken.
-
B2 (Upper Intermediate): Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics.
-
C1 (Advanced): Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts and recognize implicit meaning.
-
C2 (Proficient): Can express themselves spontaneously and fluently, and can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects.

The CEFR is widely used in language education and assessment, helping learners, teachers, and employers to gauge language skills.
